Beaufort ... A little town past Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

The Name "Beaufort" in french translated to Beau = Beautiful and Fort = Strong. Beaufort is a little town roughly half an hour past ballarat on the western highway. Beaufort is just under 2 hours from melbourne by car. Beaufort has a Vline train station with around 3 trains going to and from beaufort every day, the trip takes around 2 hours and there is also a number of bus/train options for travel between Beaufort and Melbourne. The population is around 1000. Its a very practical town to live in, with all the conveniences including a big second hand/junk shop, opp shop, big hardware store, saw mill, antique shop, cafes, restaurants, stuper market, post office, shire office, hospital, rural store, newspaper, solicitor and much more...

One of Beaufort's best attractions "The Beaufort Big Garrage Sale". A great junk shop/antique shop run by the most awesome guy named J. Allen.
