More Words:

With an obsession for making objects, quentin lives to design and construct, usually working in three dimensions, quentin makes no claims to ability in graphic design, though this web site is proof of his dabbling. With an exceptional ability to visualize and manipulate complex three dimensional shapes in his minds eye and an obsessive mind which refuses to drop the topic of a design once begun. quentin has lent his talents to such things as furniture, home wares, sewn goods, shoes and now more recently building design. Often drawing inspiration from found objects/junk, the dumpster is a close friend providing many raw materials, firstly because the materials which are found are free and secondly because when used in a design they are given a second chance at a useful life, before going on to be recycled or poison the earth and its inhabitants. The philosophy of full life cycle analysis and the design of products for end of life - however far off that might be - is another huge source of inspiration, along with a yearning to bring a modern pleasing aesthetic to sustainable design and technology. Design meetings and brain storming with other keen and creative minds is another one of quentin's favorite pass times. The actual crafting of products and the feel of tools and materials as they are worked is another huge source of enjoyment for quentin.
